I teach this foundation class at Bellevue College. It is hybrid class therefore both film and digital. Students start with photograms and the construction of pinhole cameras. They learn camera controls using 35-millimeter film and digital cameras and will be processing their own film and making black and white prints in the darkroom as well as image editing in Photoshop. They will learn how to use a camera for artistic and conceptual exploration. Students will experience a variety of assignments and practice how to critique their own and other’s work.
